Diwan Ar Rital Academy for Qur’anic Studies and Sciences is an Islamic educational institution in Malaysia that focuses on in-depth teaching and learning of the Qur’an, with emphasis on Tajweed and correct recitation methods. Founded and led by Dr. Haniah Salwana binti Abdul Rahim, the academy aspires to cultivate a Qur’an-literate society through both traditional and contemporary approaches.

Teaching Approach

Diwan Ar Rital Academy emphasizes the talaqqi musyafahah method, in which students sit face-to-face with the teacher to observe the movement of the lips and mouth during recitation. This method follows the way of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in teaching his companions and plays a vital role in ensuring accurate pronunciation and deep understanding of Tajweed.

The academy combines both traditional and modern methods by using classical talaqqi techniques and leveraging digital technologies, including social media, to expand the reach of Qur'anic education.

All teaching at Diwan Ar Rital Academy is centered on precision — from pronunciation of letters and comprehension of Tajweed rules to fluency of recitation — ensuring every student reads the Qur’an correctly, fluently, and confidently.

Key Program

One of the academy's flagship programs is “Rattil Ma’aiy” or “Let’s Recite with Me”, held monthly at Bayt Ar Rital, Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor. This program is specially designed for women to empower them with authentic Qur’anic recitation and offers them the opportunity to improve their recitation directly under the guidance of Dr. Haniah Salwana, the Founder and Director of Diwan Ar Rital Academy (M) Sdn Bhd.

The academy also conducts large-scale seminars and workshops to promote Qur’anic literacy to the broader public.

The academy is active on multiple social media platforms — especially YouTube Live, Facebook Live, Instagram Live, and TikTok Live — where they share teaching videos and conduct live sessions to engage with the online community.
